Veteran OAP and Convener of The Free Nation for Christ, Daddy Freeze has come out to react to Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot’s video, seeking for foreign movies to be ban.
The video of Nollywood actor and member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Desmond Elliot, saying foreign movies should be ban, which surfaced online yesterday has got fans and the whole country talking.
One of the famous reaction to the Lawmaker’s video, is that of Cool FM OAP, Daddy Freeze, who find this idea insensitive and unreasonable.
According to Freeze, we are all allowed to watch what we want to watch, as long as we payed for it.
He also advices the actor to try elevate the standard of Nollywood to be more like the giant Hollywood, before people can see reasons with him.
Freeze took to his instagram to share his opinion on the current issue going round the internet.
He wrote;
Dear Brother Desmond,
I love you, but I’m not with you on this.
I should be able to choose what I want to watch if I’m paying for it, shouldn’t I?
Why don’t you strive to raise Nollywood to Hollywood standards and then people will gravitate towards Nollywood naturally?
