Jussie Smollett has been ordered to pay $130,000 (£99,000) to cover cost for the investigation into an alleged assault on him last January in Chicago. The actor became the subject of the investigation after he was accused of staging the attack on himself. A claim Smollett have consistently denied. Upon completion of investigation the charges held against him were dropped. The Department of Law for the City of Chicago have since ordered Smollett pay for the cost incurred as a result of the false police report, including overtime hours used on the case.
